Hi, I am takuohm83's wife. I am an American who moved to Japan in January 2020. takuohm83 has been talking on the Otoge board's Pop'n Music thread, explaining the international situation of arcades, and how the misunderstanding of foreign culture made the series fail overseas. But, foreigners have recently discovered the characters from the series, and Pop'n Music has been trending the past few months. After moving to Japan, I learned there is so much Japan does not know much about the world and I would like to help share info.

Honestly, you are only saying this because you saw it in the news recently. But you know, no mega corporation is white. Lots of companies use labor from country like China or India because cheaper age and weaker labor laws. Every large company is doing something scummy. What kinds of things do you enjoy? You enjoy Disney? Microsoft? Nintendo? Konami? Adobe? Hopefully I do not have to explain the flaws of these companies. Lots of companies have serious issues. Buying a product doesn't mean you support every single action the company does; it solely means you support the product itself.
So, I want to currently support Pop'n Music for example. I like the games, and I think right now, there is a really good opportunity for another attempt to expand overseas. I really do think that Pop'n Music can help bridge a cultural gap, especially since it seems that Japan has missed the foreign Animation Meme culture, which was made in the first place for foreigners to share their love of Japanese art and make Japanese friends online. However, I am aware of Konami's bad business practices, and what happened to Hideo Kojima. I feel sad; there are so many countries that depend on Japanese electronics, including ones from Konami. If Konami doesn't fix themselves, they will be replaced with overseas cheap clones entirely. You can clearly see how my feelings are divided in this issue.

If best products is it they want it.
Before first, if employee want job truly this company, they need try change company for solve issues. they choice work rights.
Many Japanese company have behind issues, but I hope they try fix those issues. I think buy it and not it direct related thing. If I try avoid buy it ,they don't try it.
