これについて調べてみたのですが、この文を以下のようにmanyをtheirに変えるとshowが自動詞になるかもしれません。
The people of the country did indeed soon have their grievances to show.
ここに至る経緯は文法書を調べたりcopilotに何回も形を変えて訊ねたのですが、その量が多くなったためここでは割愛します。
私の今のところの理解として
・many grievancesはhaveの目的語としてすぐに直接的に感じられるもので後ろから不定詞（不定詞の目的語でもある）で補足説明するものである
・their grievancesだと”それがどうなるの？”と思いたくなるようでshowが自動詞として働き”現れる”と意味が取れる。
結論として私が誤読した理由は、
The people of the country did indeed soon have many grievances to show.

日単位レベルの更新に使う言葉ですか？

に書き換えることができ、かつ that と後ろにonを置いて

にも書き換えることができると思いますが

といった先行詞が「抽象的な場所」の文においても
in which での書き換えだけでなく
