Mean time at home, Citilink its domestic subsidiarry has continued to be unprofitable since 2012 when it was restructured into a seperate business unit. According to GA investor update in July 22nd, the carrier says its facing "intense competition" both in the domestic and international arena. Per the presentation it will do amongst other things - close/reduce frequency on under performing routes, retire and dispose of older aircraft, defer some new deliveries (CAPA says remaining 77W might be delayed), cut CapEx spending, and focus on more agressive sales and marketing including cooperation with Skyteam. Apparently plans for new service to Taipei, Manila and Mumbai services have been shelved.
