An article in the Yukan Asahi of 21 October 1951,called "The clattering of Millitary Boots,"named as supportars of HATTORI Takushiro a group of persons who had been observed at the Demoblization Bureau conferring with HATTORI by TAKAKURA,had identified the group as his supportars from seeing them in his office and had passed the information onto TUKAMOTO,who has written the Asahi article.TUKAMOTO denied that he had bat anything to do with the article,and MASUGA Hisao,deputy chief of the Asahi Press Editorial Bureau,told a friend of HATTORI's that the article was actually based on information supplied by former japanese naval offisers.The feeling against TUKAMOTO in the HATTORI group,however,was already firmly established.One group member even proposed some punitive measure against TUKAMOTO,but this proposal the group let drop.
