Lundagård lists: Who should receive the 2023 Nobel Prize in Literature?

誰に受賞してほしいか
(1)Ismail Kadare
It never feels good to rank literature, a medium which, unlike many others,
is not bound by material limitations. But there are Nobel times,
and in my opinion Ismail Kadare,
Albanian writer and poet, should receive the prize.

(3)Helle Helle
A brilliant prose writer from across the strait!
Helle Helle writes with impressively small means to bring out
the big things in life.
Subject to thematic differences,
the minimalist style is reminiscent of Hemingway's:
stripped down, pithy, and loaded with meaning.
To read Helle is to really read , it requires something from one.
At the same time lyrical, beautiful and intimate.

(5)Jon Fosse
Jon Fosse deserves the Nobel Prize in Literature.
For a language that with apparent simplicity creates existential vertigo
at the same time as the face meets the fresh Norwegian sea breeze.
In Fosse's literature, it can be clichéd to say that man is the focus, but it really is.
Here there is no question of autofiction,
the fictional characters feel more alive than many real people.
