先ず intransitive preposition で漠然と位置や方向を示して、
次に transitive preposition + 補部 で具体的な位置や方向を示すという
「位置や方向の二段階指定」†は日本語にはない発想らしいから、
英語に慣れないと感覚を摑むのは難しいのかもしれない。
† 「位置の二段階指定」は『実例が語る前置詞』の第一章で出てくる用語。

その名詞句を from が補部として認可しているのだが。
